Today is going very well. Tristan is back to his normal self, and because he can't eat he doesn't cry for feeds. So really he's been extremely well behaved all day. Michael would like me to point out that he is wearing that blue shirt and jeans for the third day in a row. Apparently he is quite proud of that accomplishment. The white thing on Tristan's face is just tape holding in the feeding tube. We do have to try for the 12th time to get an IV today. Sadly Tristan has bruises and needle marks all over his arms and feet from multiple tries. I'm not looking forward to the screaming that goes with this process. He had a swallow test today to verify that when he eats the food is only going down his throat not his lungs. Thankfully it is! Tomorrow is the surgery- we will let you know how it goes. It's scheduled for prep at 11am, surgery at 1pm, concluding a few hours later.

Thanks for the pictures and update. It sure helps those of us who want to be there when we are here. Your variety of "dad sleeping with baby" pictures is outstanding.

Emily did have assperating during her feeds and was on a feeding tube for five months. I am so glad to hear that is not the case with Tristan. Thank goodness there is a surgery that can fix the problem. In a couple of years when he is walking and talking this will all be a memory!! Hang in there.
