Well, we had a small step back yesterday. Tristan had 2 spells Friday morning and had to be put back on the nasal cannula. It's not clear yet whether it was a result of feeding or getting sick, but his feeds were stopped, the IV put back in, and antibiotics started. He was a little cold, too, so they put him in an isolette. All of this sounds much worse than he has seemed, as since the spells occurred he has been getting slowly better. They started feeding him just a little bit (5 CCs) this afternoon, and lowering his oxygen help in preparation for letting him breathe on his own again soon. Seeing him yesterday back in the isolette without clothes and hooked up to the machines again was a reminder just how small and fragile he is still, but today was better and showed his other side of being a fighter and opening his eyes for Mom when she held him.

Tristan looks wonderful. He may have had a small setback, but I thank God for continuing to bring him through all the setbacks and giving him the gift of "fighting".

A big "Amen" to Barb's comment. We know God is helping him every day and every way, and we're thankful that he's helping you both through this as well.
