Breathing Is Hard to Do
Well, today was kind of a down day. They weaned Tristan's vent settings down really low last night to the point that he was doing most of the breathing on his own, so this morning they tried again to take it out. Unfortunately, he still wasn't up for it and had a pretty serious spell shortly after going on the nasal cannula. They put the ventilator back in when it was obvious he wasn't going to handle things on his own. All his labs are still negative for any infection and there doesn't seem to be anything specifically wrong with him, he just seems to be a little shaken up in the breathing area since his surgery. They are thinking they'll now give him another round of the steroids he received before to strengthen his lungs and help any inflammation, then try again. It's tough because even though he's come a long way in the last couple months, this makes it feel like we're stuck back at step 1 again. We appreciate everyone's continued prayers.

You have those prayers - continuously.
Hang in there.
Love, Mom and the Dad
AS Joy said, the prayers are continuous. Tristan and you two will get through this with God's help.
Love you,
Mom S.
Prayers are being lifted - continuously---by many.
Take care,
Much love,
Rosalee
