I attended an inspiring retreat this morning and at that I learned about St. Patrick.
In honor of his day, here is an excerpt from his prayer.
I arise today
Through God's strength to pilot me;
God's might to uphold me,
God's wisdom to guide me,
God's eye to look before me,
God's ear to hear me,
God's word to speak for me,
God's hand to guard me,
God's way to lie before me,
God's shield to protect me,
God's host to save me,
From snares of devils,
From temptations of vices,
From everyone who shall wish me ill,
Afar and anear,
Alone and in multitude.
On to our celebration of the secular part of St. Patrick's Day- Leprechauns!
Tristan has been a little obsessed with them the past few days.
He was convinced they would leave us some gold today.
And sure enough, he was right!
They also left us some green footprints, green cinnamon rolls, and green milk!
Crazy how that happens.
He looks a little suspicious, but believe me he was amazed.
In his words, "Mom the leprechauns must have really visited because we do not have green frosting here."
Nope, they definitely brought that with!

Great St. Patrick's day celebration. Reminds me of when you girls were kids.
