Saturday, Boys Day!

Krista had to work today from 8-4 (yuck), so it was all boys, all the time.  I took them to Toys R Us this morning to splurge on $5 worth of track pieces for the Hot Wheels cars.  This could be dangerous.  Tristan and I watched some YouTube videos of crazy track creations, so now we have to try and match them.  We'll have to work together to convince Krista it's worth the investment...

Once the track was setup, it was off to the ChildShare picnic.  Just like the Christmas Party we went to, they go all out.  There was a bounce house obstacle course, a reptile tent, crafts, tacos, cookie decorating (a nice carryover from the holiday party!), a scavenger hunt, big toys, women's trio singing group, and a water balloon toss!  All in 90 degree valley weather!  Oh, wait, that was the bad part.  I think the little one may have eaten more carnitas than I did.  All in all, a fun time, and now after falling asleep in the car they are both laying awake in their beds not taking naps :)

At Christmas it was presents, the summer picnic gift is backpacks.  At least we actually had a foster child this time around so it didn't feel like we were just taking advantage of the invite!  That's his nametag flipped around with the itinerary on the back.  They are super organized.

He also pet a lizard prior to this.  I couldn't convince him to let the tarantula sit on his head for a picture - smart kid :)

This is what boys are supposed to act like, right?

Last time it was a snake and now lizards -- what happened to cute little kittens? Reptiles are not a good thing to me, Tristan!
