I had another mommy moment. I've always been willing to let Tristan play with really messy toys (i.e. aqua sand) but when it comes to arts and crafts I hate when the kids make a mess (which makes no sense!). I realized yesterday I needed to lighten up a little! I've handled it in the past (remember the foot painting on the kitchen floor?), but for some reason recently I've been more uptight. The other day "the little one" painted on his face and my first instinct was to say no, but why? We were having baths that night so instead I joined in and we painted all over each others faces! Ok- not mine, but the other two had paint everywhere.
We watched precious Hana yesterday. The little one hasn't experienced me babysitting anyone so that was an adventure. He was super jealous and constantly asking for me to pick him up. Tristan on the other hand was great! He made it his mission to entertain her- he really wants to babysit her when he gets older : ) He was so sweet and wonderful- maybe we should have requested a baby : )
The cutest thing to come out of watching her was a question from Tristan. He was studying her intently and eventually asked me, "Mom why does Hana have brown hands and feet?" I let him know people have different skin colors and he promptly replied, "I want brown hands and feet!" I guess that answers any psychologists question about when children start to notice skin color.

Tristan....your make up job could land you in a movie!! The baby-sitting episode is sooo cute!
Drizzly, cool day here, but it's still June! Love, Rosalee
