Memorial Weekend Round 2

We ended the day by making popsicles- Tristan's idea!  

As you can see the rest of our weekend was amazing!  I have to say it's one of the best weekends we've had in a long time.  I think with both parents around we get into a rut sometimes.  But with Michael gone I was constantly looking for something fun to do so Tristan would stay distracted from the fact his dad was gone and I wouldn't be too lonely.  The first words out of Tristan's mouth this morning (and all the way home last night) were, "That was so fun playing in the water with Jack.  I want to go back to Jack's house."  Ahh the joys of a sprinkler and a backyard- It's great reliving my childhood by watching Tristan enjoy the same things I did!  

Today we met up with the Harris family in Laguna Beach.  Crazy, you say. Why would we go to the beach on Memorial Day?  Well we are smart Southern Californians and went headed out in the morning.  When we were driving back at 1:30pm the freeway we came in on was backed up for miles.  Haha, only fools go in the afternoon!  My favorite quote from Tristan today came as we put the popsicles in the freezer- "Now the popsicles are going to grow up"  I suppose that's one way of looking at it.
