The Park

I got Tristan to go down the big slide by himself twice the other day.  The third time he wanted me to go down with him and because I was at the top- I started to worry that he might hang on at some point and tumble down the slide so I decided we would wait until two of us were there to do it again.  He's also gotten really good at stairs, for the most part he will go up and down a few by without holding on now.  So we have made a lot of progress in the past couple.  The other thing that has progressed a lot in the last month is his talking.  He uses a lot of complete sentences that start with words like what, where, and I.  In the last two weeks literally everywhere I have been people ask me how old he is and are shocked at how much he talks.  The grocery store, the park and even school.  Of course I'm used to Jackson, but at the park we were with 3 other 2-3 yr old boys and none of them talked as much as Tristan.  So that was nice to see that he is advancing a lot in language.  One mom even asked me what I did, uhhh, talked to him for the past two years!  Not really sure- I think we're just blessed with a talker.

I don't know which Mom this is about the 'talking genes,' but I couldn't agree more -- lots and lots of talking genes. Isn't it wonderful he is doing so superbly!
