Day 41

40 Days! It's crazy that it's been that long, and then there are the times it feels like it's been much longer. No picture tonight as we've been lazy with the camera the last few days - we'll make sure and get some tomorrow with Tristan's Aunt Allison who's here for the weekend :) He's doing great. Krista got to hold him tonight all swaddled up in her arms like a regular baby. He's still gaining weight, still on the nasal cannula, and the phone call updates are getting shorter and shorter from the nurses because there's not much to tell - YES!

I remeber the first time that I got to hold Emily in my arms like a real baby. It was the best. I loved being able to see her. You guys will never take anything for granted. 40 days is a great accompishment and if he is there as long as Emily was you are half way there!!

I went into preterm labor at 24 weeks from a car accident. The docs were able to stop it and keep me pregnant. I've been in the hospital for almost a month determined to do everything I can to keep my little guy brewing for as long as I can. Your story gives me inspiration every day. Thank you, and you three are in my prayers.
