Day 32

It's late, so this will be short. You called it, Kari Shaw, staph it is. One of Tristan's blood cultures came back positive for the infection, which is the most common type. The antibiotics he was already getting are actually to fight staph since it is so common, so nothing changed in his treatment. He is still on the ventilator, but they're continuing to decrease the settings and he seemed to be doing better again tonight. Thanks for the extra prayers! (And no picture, I keep getting errors - it's free, so no complaints here)

Michael and Krista,
I'm glad to hear that we know what the infection is, and they are working to get rid of it. As we already know he is a fighter! Thanks for the update after your long day! Love, to all!

Michael and Krista,
You don't know me, but I prayed for you and Tristan today. He is on our church prayer chain in Pittsburgh and hundreds of people you probably don't know are now praying for him here, too. I hope that helps give you even just a little bit of peace as you continue on your journey. God is good! And He is taking care of that precious little baby! Take care of yourselves, too!

It's really amazing how God is using Tristan to touch so many people's lives. It's also very inspiring to see how strong you two have been. My heart is so touched to see everyone's faith and support for Tristan, Michael and Krista. Tristan is truly a special baby, and I can't wait to tell him over and over how so many people prayed for him! He's so going to be sick of me! :D

Love, Emma
