My husband loves me so much/knows me so well that he is taking care of all of the school arrangements.
He knew it was the one thing that was a requirement for my complete happiness in Washington.
He knew that when we went to the district office together that I would have trouble keeping it together.
That when the lady started the conversation with an attitude that I would get upset.
And that when I asked in a nice voice, "If we have to stay in a hotel for a little bit (waiting for our moving truck to arrive) can we still start Tristan in school with our house address or do we need to delay the start date?"
That if she answered with a straight face and attitude, "That is illegal. You have to register him with the hotel address even if it's in a different school boundary. Then when you move into the house in a week or two you can transfer him to the new school."
He better escort me out of the building very quickly.

That after he completed the registration with the district this week that I still wouldn't trust we were for sure going to the right school until he talked to the school itself.
That if I had called said school today and they told me, "No, we are full. The district is wrong."
My head would have exploded. (even though she said it nicely)
My head would have exploded. (even though she said it nicely)
Then if she continued to say, "They should've assigned you to the next nearest school." (which is not the other immersion school)
That my exploded head would've started screaming how that was unacceptable, we were assured by the district we could be attending the correct school otherwise we wouldn't have rented in that boundary, and if they were to force us to attend another school it MUST be the other immersion school.
Thankfully, my husband made the phone calls.
And he calmly told her multiple times that the district placed us there because there was room.
That Tristan already started Japanese and we would love it if he could continue in that program.

And because he is kind and calm she said, "alright I will go talk to the principal. Then I will call you back."
And being ever so SMART, he NEVER mentioned any of this to me until after she called him back.
And when she called back, she said, "The principal says it's fine. You can come here and be in the Japanese program."
Bottomline: We got into our desired school!
Thank God for continuing to bless our path and for giving me a husband who is willing to do everything it takes to make sure his wife has a fully intact head.
