The Pink Flamingo....

Auntie Rosalee has asked- Where is the Pink Flamingo?
Well- he sure isn't on this tree.

He can sometimes be found in my purse...

Sleeping with Tristan next to the nativity guys (or heroes as Tristan calls them)...

 Eating all meals with us.....

In the car cupholders......

In Tristan's car seat while he is in preschool (all toys run errands with me while he goes to school)....

And he may have snuck into may favorite store to do some Christmas shopping.......

That's where the Pink Flamingo is.

Side note:  Rosalee this is not a joke!  I found it hilarious that you asked where that ornament was because Tristan latched onto him the second we opened the ornament box.  He refused to put him on the tree and took him everywhere with us.  Ask our PT- he even went to physical therapy and climbed the climbing wall!

I want to take a moment and mention something totally opposite of the above post!  Blessings.  I have had an amazing weekend of blessings.

-I was blessed to spend time at my first "Cookie Exchange" and just bond with other amazing Christian women.  Love it!  I found out about an amazing scripture based parenting class I will hopefully take next fall- looking forward to that!

-I was blessed to come home to a husband who planned a night out for us w/o me knowing!  I may have been heard saying I didn't want to go to the EA holiday party ( I really didn't!)  But he arranged friends to babysit anyway and swept me off.  Once we got into Hollywood I realized that even if we hated the party (the club it was at had the potential to be extremely out of our moral comfort zone) we would have an amazing pre party.  We stopped at Osteria Mozza to sit at the Mozzarella Bar and have some Burrata and a glass of wine!  I've been dreaming about this Burrata dish I had there a couple years back and he's been dreaming about sitting at the Mozzarella Bar since a couple years back!  And because we are blessed we found a parking spot and walked into an extremely popular restaurant w/o a reservation on a Saturday night and got seated right away!  Amazing.  It only would have been better if Mario Batali served us himself!

-It's kind of a secret but inside I really love loud dance music and dancing- don't tell!  So I was blessed to actually enjoy the EA party- best one ever.  EA chose a circus/winter candyland theme for the night which was totally morally appropriate.  And the "performance artists" were actually amazing and fun to watch (shaving cream art anyone?)  Plus I got to dance to gaga and black eyed peas- what could be better? ; )

- We are blessed to go to an amazing church!  Even when the head pastor is sick on a Sunday (who knew that could happen?) one of the other pastors steps in and gives a very inspiring message.  And we were blessed to see the church elders pray over many members of the congregation as inspired by the verse below.

“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven” James 5:14-15

What a wonderful post. The pink flamingo pictures are a riot!!! One never knows what is going to capture a child's imagination.

The "blessings" part of the post fit in with our morning message about gratitude. What a special season we are in..."thanks for sharing."
