Parties, Parties!

Sitting in his airplane seat, such a big boy!

Tristan's hands waiting for cake!!
Trying to catch the garter....haha!
Dancing with all of the family!

The three of us have managed to drive each other crazy trying to squeeze way too much in to two days.  We barely made it to the airport- literally got to the gate 20 minutes before the flight left!  So from the beginning we knew the weekend was going to be exciting.  Saturday morning Michael took me to breakfast and to buy a ring for our 10th anniversary- so sweet : )  We made it to the horse races for a Father's Day celebration (late of course!)  Luckily we came out ahead!  Then we left early to make it to Luke and Katie's wedding on time!  Of course we forgot half of our stuff had to go back, etc.  Thankfully we did make it to the wedding on time and met up with Tristan again!  Thankfully Grandma had already put him in the nursery for the ceremony so we got to enjoy that together.  If we had tried to do that I have a feeling he wouldn't have accepted it- luckily he listened to grandma!

We did let Tristan go to the whole reception.  He had a lovely time talking, clapping, and laughing loudly at the most inopportune times.  He even decided to have a choking episode in the middle of the Father of the Bride's toast- lovely!  Tristan made up for that though by being Libby's private cheering section during her toast.  He laughed at all of her jokes and clapped very loudly for her : )  Most of the night Tristan was walking around like he owned the place- which was interesting since he's normally attached to us.  He also LOVED dancing- we will definitely be spending a lot more time doing that at home.  We ended up leaving because dad was ready not Tristan.  In the car he kept saying he wanted to go back to the wedding and dance.  Sounds like we have a little socializer on our hands!

Sunday morning we were able to celebrate Joy and Tony's 40th wedding anniversary (yay for their amazing marriage!)  In true form we were late to that since our electronic alarm clock was set wrong and our human alarm clock (tristan) decided to sleep until 8am (when we were supposed to arrive!)  He normally gets up at 6:20am so imagine my scream at Michael when Tristan woke me up and the clock said 8am!  After church we took Michael to the airport to go home. : (  My sisters had planned a surprise retirement party for my mom so I got her to go to the airport with us while they set it up.  It was great to have everyone over and she was completely shocked!  She even forced me to stop at the grocery store on the way home to her surprise even though I tried everything to talk her out of it.  It was worth it though since we managed to keep it a secret even with many people coming from out of town.  The rest of the time we are here is just as packed with activities- so more fun to come!
