Tristan's View

After keeping our emotions to ourselves for a couple days I finally have to break the news that my hormones are still going back up- booo.  So that meant today I had to go in for a methotrexate shot- essentially something to stop the hormones.  You can google it- I don't have a lot of info to give because I just briefly talked to my doctor on the phone and today was her day off.  It's really annoying that when she finally called I was so relieved that she had called- it was like 6:45pm- that I forgot to ask my questions!  So anyway- I brought Tristan along since it was a last minute thing and he took photos of me the whole time.  The nurses thought it was pretty funny that he kept saying "say cheese".  Luckily he only took pictures of the part where they were taking blood, not the part where I got the actual shots.  They are injected in a non photo friendly place!  I did convince him to stand still and stay by my head by telling him that it was going to hurt and I needed someone to hold my hand to make me feel better.  That worked really well- even when he had to let go a second to pick up the camera he made sure and gave his hand right back.  So as calm and M and I usually sound- rest assured we are freaking out too.  Hopefully this one dose of methotrexate causes the remaining hormones to go away, we will keep you updated.

Nuts! But, we'll continue praying that things progress as they should! You've got a budding photographer....a little Val!

Praying, praying, praying, for sure! Krista - you are one brave mom - both in your approach to all this hormone stuff and taking Tristan with you. What a team you are! We admire you so much.

Sorry about your hormone levels. I really hope the shot works. Nice pictures by Tristan though!
