After the much needed night out (dinner/hotel) we headed out to the valley to pick up Tristan from Jack's. He let us know very quickly that he was not willing to leave. He kept telling us to keep talking to Stacey and threw an epic tantrum when we finally forced him out the door. I guess more overnights are in order (although I'm not sure Kent would think so since he had to get up all night with T!)
We then drove down to San Diego to see the Harris family. We all went to the zoo and on the way home- Tristan kept falling asleep while eating his sandwich! Every time I tried to take it away he would wake up and then try to prove to me he was eating it while falling asleep again! In the evening we went to the pumpkin patch to get JJ and Tristan pumpkins. It wasn't very crowded so that was great. My child, who was so excited to go get a pumpkin, refused to get off the slide to pick one out. I'm not sure how I finally convinced him, but we dragged him to the patch to get one and then he went right back to the toys. That of course resulted in another tantrum when we tried to make him leave. Oh toddlers!
Today he needed some time outside so we got to play in the play area at the house. It's been really dirty due to construction, but now is finally cleaned off. Even though he looks like the happiest kid ever, his cold has flared up again. It went down to a runny nose but never fully left and today it's worse than ever. I'm really hoping this isn't last spring all over again when he was sick for 4 months straight. For tonight I'm just hoping he keeps breathing ok since Michael is in Salt Lake City for business and it's just T and I until Wednesday. And also that he didn't give anything to JJ!
