So we've had a good weekend. Yesterday we had swim lessons and went for a walk along some wetlands near our house. Tristan enjoyed looking at the duckies and geese. There were lots of babies, so that was nice for him to see. And today we went on a hike in Temescal Canyon. Our hiking book suggested taking the steep way up that way the way down would be a little easier on the other side. It was a great suggestion because the way down was a lot easier on our knees, but the way up was A LOT harder! Tristan did tell us the hike was "pretty cool" though. Unfortunately because of the grey skies we couldn't see the ocean. But that's ok it was still nice to walk through the trees and greenery. Tristan did enjoy touching all the different trees and pointing out the different colors he could see. I'm thinking of making a sort of discovery map for our next hike (like at the museum) so he can try to find things during the hike.

Love the reaching to the sky picture! He looks like he is really enjoying himself. What a great idea on the discovery map. Maybe we can do that when we are in Chelan too.
Love,

Oh, the joy of discovery! It was fun to talk to you today, Tristan! Oh, it was good to talk to you too Michael.
