Tristan had fun at the Phoenix Zoo. He now can say zoo and express his excitement about going to the zoo! As a matter of fact he calls the book we have about San Diego, zoo. Read zoo mommy! As usual Grandma and Great Grandma spoiled us all rotten and we had a lot of fun. We got to visit with Abby and again (and this time Tristan can say Abby, not Abba!) and he even learned her bf's name, Eric. Because Tristan had this terrible cough the trip to AZ was not very fun. It was pretty much 7 hours straight of coughing, except when he was sleeping. He even started it out by coughing so hard he puked up 3 cups of milk, literally. Imagine stopping in downtown L.A. to try to clean that out of the car seat when you've got nothing to do it with! Even after washing everything we can't get rid of the smell in the car, yummy! He proceeded to throw up while eating out at dinner that night, out at breakfast the next morning, almost at dinner that night, and all his apple juice the next morning! Sorry, but the cough was a doozy. Luckily now he's almost gotten rid of it. I think we're banned from all AZ restaurants from now on : ) And probably because of swine flu (which he doesn't have) people were giving us the dirty looks and moving away from our table when he coughed, pretty funny.
As a result of this cold/cough we didn't get to have the bronchoscopy today. But rest assured that even after calling the ENT the day before we still had to go in at 6:30am, register, wait to see the anesthieologist and ENT and have them decide not to proceed before it got cancelled! I'm sure it's all a ploy for UCLA to be able to send us another big fat bill. Just kidding! We love our ENT and she prescribed him a low dose of antibiotic and steroid to hopefully get/keep him healthy for the next two weeks so we can do the procedure on May 19. We are very pleased that they are concerned about his safety first and foremost, but disappointed that we have to wait longer to do this. Prayers that he will get healthy for the first time in months and be able to have the bronchoscopy. Thanks!
P.S. My favorite thing he says lately is, paper toilet instead of toilet paper. So cute. Oh and the doctors were in love with him again. In fact one asked if we could just bring him in every week so she could be entertained. Maybe if they comp the rest of our medical bills!

I am so sorry that Tristan is having such a time with colds, etc. Here's hoping this will be the end of it, at least for awhile.
Love to all,
FGA
