Today we took a hike to Escondido Falls, north of Malibu. Well at least they told us there would be a waterfall! Unfortunately it's not spring so the water was a very, very, very small trickle. We'll head back in the spring to see a "rushing 150 ft waterfall". Tristan had some problems waiting for us to be ready to get hiking, but once we were on the go he was loving it. And it reminded me one thing I love about hiking, friendly people! Everyone says hi to each other. We talked to a guy who claimed to have climbed to the top of Mt. Rainier with his 18 mos. daughter in a backpack with him (we thought that may have been a little exaggeration!). And another couple that were out there for the first time and relating to Michael and I dealing with a screaming child who wanted to jump in the water! Plus a lady who was pushing her 2-3yr old in one of those plastic cars up the trail- crazy!
