San Diego Visit

Tristan had a great time in San Diego this weekend visiting Aunt Libby and Uncle Brian. We went down for a side dish Thanksgiving since we missed the holiday with them. Of course none of us wanted to make the turkey so we just made our favorite side dishes! Tristan is so blessed to have aunts who love him so much, but I have to give a shout out to the guys. Both of his uncle's and Allison's boyfriend are EXCELLENT with babies! They all love to hold and play with him and aren't afraid to have him when he's crying. We also worked on teaching Tristan how to cheer for the Seahawks- hands in the air, "Touchdown" or yay, clap because they did good. Needless to say it didn't stick, but he sure does love watching everyone else cheer. The picture on the couch is Tristan with his "taggie", given to us by a friend of a friend of the Cook family who also had a preemie. He seriously loves it. He likes looking at, touching and tasting each different ribbon. It can keep him occupied for quite awhile. Thanks Kari and Emily!

Yea Tristan!! We are so glad that you like your taggie so much and better yet it gives mom and dad a few minutes break!! We are all for that!! We knew a good thing when we found one!:) Emily still hold tight to hers and she will be three in April. It is so cute to watch her lay in her crib and rub on one ribbon while she goes to sleep. Let us know if you need another one and we will send one your way.
Hang in there. As I am sure you are noticing the first year is the most difficult. This year all we have had to deal with is the normal cold and germs that come with daycare!! Kari
