Beets

When I read in my baby food recipe book to wear gloves while peeling beets because they stain your hands it never occurred to me what that meant. It means that while feeding those same beets to your baby they will stain his face, hands and clothes when he gets them everywhere! Luckily the only thing it really stayed on was his clothes once I wiped him off. I did actually taste the recipe though, called Purple Pears. It's apple juice, beets, and pears and it tastes pretty good! Unfortunately I don't think I will be making it again since it makes a huge mess. Tristan has enjoyed seeing his friend Jackson the past couple days. They are beginning to interact, touching and smiling at each other. It's crazy how fast these boys are growing up.
