Within three weeks of starting school we had our first sick day!
Thankfully it was just a high fever for the day with no other symptoms and it meant a sleep in day!
I did get kicked out of bed at 6am when Tristan came in and I couldn't fit anymore because boys take up too much room!
It also meant that Tristan could partake in one of his favorite activities, picking a Halloween costume!
He talks about them year round and he changes his mind about 100 times.
He finally settled on one and you'll see it at Halloween!
Hey look, over the weekend I drove Carmageddon!
I know it's not very responsible to take photos while driving.
Grandma and Grandpa visited us this weekend too.
We went to breakfast and got Mickey Mouse pancakes.
Can I tell you something?
Now that Tristan is in real school when I see a personal email from his teacher I get a little scared!
Thankfully the email was just that he had fallen down at school and cut his mouth.
I can breathe a little easier now!
Tristan is a bit of a firecracker with mom and dad.
But I think he's a bit of a perfectionist at school so I'm hoping for good behavior all year!
He's super competitive (which isn't always good), but in the classroom it works.
The teacher has three things that keep him in line.
Individually there are green, yellow and red apples.
The goal is to keep yourself on green for the day and not have to move down to yellow or red.
For their table they earn points towards stickers for good behavior.
He tells me every day what they earned and that their table has more points than the rest.
As a class they have a car that moves along a track that will earn them a popcorn/movie party.
I'm thinking she nailed it on getting Tristan to behave ; )

I hope we did not make Tristan sick. That picture is so sad. I love the school/behavior story.

Creative teacher, I would say...she knows how to keep good, energetic kids headed in the right direction, it sounds like. The sick day picture is so sad.....Love, FA
