A Day Off!

Good news, I have my camera charger back!

I haven't charged the battery yet, but at least I can : )

My hubby had a day off, the whole day.  

The first one in a month or so.

We slept in, we grabbed lunch, we went to the beach, we showered, we went out to dinner.

We put the kids to bed, sat on the couch and enjoyed a glass of wine.

Hello President Obama and entourage.

We've now seen you in a car and a helicopter, would you stop by for a real handshake sometime?

 I give my hubby a really hard time for being at work so much.

So I often have to apologize and make sure I'm not adding too much to his work stress.

Thankfully he LOVES food.  And feeling taken care of.

So after our dinner he was wanting to go out to dessert. 

But there aren't any dessert places open late in our area. We've complained for years about this. 

It's fall now and we didn't want ice cream- we needed something warm from the oven.

So why not just head home and make an apple crisp?

We had the ingredients on hand so into the oven they went and an hour later warm desserts!

He says he knows he's loved because I'm willing to head home and bake an apple crisp for him on a whim!

 We've been doing some Halloween crafts.

Tristan painted the jars and drew the faces on.

Except the blue one, I drew it and he added on to it.

You know that I want it to be a perfect looking craft and it's really hard for me to give up control.

But I did it, I really did it.

And come on LA give me some rain already.
Or at least some days of grey clouds.
I honestly can't stand waking up every morning to the sun, I'm sick of it.
Seriously.
