Nights Out!

We now have a regular babysitter.
It's a big weight off our shoulders!
Downside is we have to spend a small fortune to pay her when we want to do things like, go out to dinner!
But we definitely enjoy eating too much to pass up the opportunity.
Recently we visited Son of a Gun, a fun seafood restaurant in L.A.
Oysters on the half shell- these happened to be from Washington!
lobster roll, celery, lemon aioli- these were ridiculous (in a good way).
fried chicken sandwich, spicy b&b pickle slaw, rooster aioli (also ridiculous in a good way!)

Actually most of the food was ridiculous in a good way!
Here's the rest of the food we consumed that night:
benton’s country ham hush puppies, honey butter
gem lettuce, pickled beets, crème fraiche, bread crumbs, green garlic
shrimp toast sandwich, herbs, sriracha mayo
old school spinach salad, warm bacon vinaigrette, pepato, egg
roasted escolar, truffled pomme puree, chicken jus
brownie sundae, hot fudge, vanilla ice cream, cherry, peanut
warm scone, macerated strawberries, cream

Rest assured we had a friend with us.
So three of us shared all of the food, if that makes it any better!

Thanks to our wonderful Aunt Rosalee we also saw the L.A. Philharmonic recently.
It was on our L.A. bucket list to go to the Walt Disney Concert Hall so we were very excited.
We made sure that we attended when Dudamel was conducting, apparently he's a must see!
He just can't get away from work, even at the symphony.
Isn't it so amazing how smart phones make you accessible all hours, every day of the week.
On the garden terrace.

Don't tell, you're not allowed to take photos in the concert hall.
Just after this photo the lady next to me got in trouble for taking photos in the concert hall.
Thankfully we were so blessed to have free babysitting for this outing!

Wow! These were great experiences. Thanks for sharing so we could go with you vicariously.

There are a couple of things you ate that I have no idea what they are - but that is not surprising.

Love, Mom Joy

Good heavens -- I was beginning to think you must have beed there all day eating great food, then you said there were 3 of you! Am really glad you enjoyed the symphony...the hall looks magnificent. If/when I ever get back there, I would love to see the inside. Nice you've found a reliable child care person. Love, FA
