We finally had a free day with fantastic weather to do our favorite thing- hit the beach!
Apparently this is how you wear a hat and sunglasses!
We made a guy in the sand.
Tristan decided it would be better if it was him buried instead.
This week Michael and I got a bit of sad news.
Our previous little one needs prayers.
His living situation isn't going well and we are just praying that he is safe and will remember he is loved.
Hopefully things will get better for him.
The reality of the foster system is stories that no one wants to hear.
The tip of it would be the call I got asking if we could take a child who had been left at DCFS by it's mother because she was mad at the social worker.
Can you imagine? Me either.
That's the kind of thing young kids are dealing with every day.
Our church had a fantastic sermon on the call to adopt a couple weeks ago.

Cute pics and heartbreaking stories.
Love, Mom Joy
Sorry to hear about the Little One's situation.
On a side note, why is there a Husky hat and a Beavers hat in these pictures, but no Cougar hat???

So sorry to hear the sad stories - life is so tough sometimes. How long did it take to get the sand out of Tristan's hair? Love, FA
Kim-
One day at the park Tristan threw down his Cougar hat in anger and I didn't realize because he was stomping behind me as we left the park. So after we got home I figured it out and we went back to the park. Someone had already taken it! I guess they really needed a Cougar hat! Anyway we haven't gotten another one yet.
Krista : )
Geez, I know what Tristan will be getting for Christmas!
I guess he's joining the club of Cougar fans who need to throw their hats down in anger.
