Grandma bought some new bubble toys for the kids- Tristan was super excited (also excited about his new boots)!
Happy 4th of July! We realized on Monday night that we can see the Culver City fireworks pretty much from our front yard. Michael was setting up the camera to experiment with taking photos when the battery died- bummer.
Summer is here and now we have to entertain ourselves all day. Tristan decided to make a soccer field with his legos. He's also working on an American flag for the Lego Magazine contest!
The kids are starting to get along a little better. Here Tristan is comforting the little one after a major tantrum about dinner. Tristan said to him, "It's ok to be sad, sometimes I'm sad too." So sweet.
But just after that sweet moment he decided it would be fun to tip the little one over in the chair. You see, mostly my days are still filled with Tristan tattling/arguing/complaining about the little one or the little one hitting/head butting/throwing toys at Tristan. Good times.
Total side note: along with being a genius, and a baseball star- Tristan is a music prodigy! ; ) (kidding)
So anyway- about two bars into a dance performance on SYTYCD Tristan says to me, "Why are they dancing to The Incredibles?" I look up and wouldn't you know it says some song from the Incredibles soundtrack. After Tristan had watched The Incredibles a few times last year we decided it was a little too aggressive a movie for him. ( i.e. resulting in him being too aggressive with others!) So he probably hasn't even watched it for a year. So excited that he has his fathers ear for music!

This post was just the best! Cute pictures; little boys learning so much; Mom trying to figure out what they are going to do all summer; batteries dieing at the wrong time -- all the typical stuff of life! It's all so fun to read and see - Love, Rosalee
ps. Way more fun than a rattlesnake bit son, that is for sure.
Hooray for music and that it is part of your lives!!! Grandma Inie would be very happy!!!
Thanks again for everything!
Love, Mom and the Dad
