I have a feeling when I'm looking at his defiant face I may be looking at myself as a child. Or quite possibly myself as a teenager. His attitude seems to reflect that of a teenage girl! I'm hoping it's a phase because nothing we're doing seems to be working.
We have a court hearing for this guy coming up this week. Prayers that God's plan for him is realized and that we are at peace with that no matter what it is. Let's just say it's a roller coaster that changes on a daily basis- I have my opinions, birth mom has her opinions and the involved caseworkers have their opinions. Unfortunately or possibly fortunately none of those match up and it makes for a difficult guessing game, which is why I'm so glad the court date is nearing!
We were in San Diego this weekend so we missed church, but since I heard about from more than one person I feel inclined to link to the sermons. It was Outreach Sunday and the speakers were amazing.
#1- Talitha - She is the President of the Pregnancy Clinic I volunteer at and her message is very emotional and so inspiring.

#2- April- She's the President of Child SHARE- the person who's talk inspired us to do Fost/Adopt.

(i've had trouble with hers finishing)
I encourage you to watch one or both and figure out how you can serve in your community.

You're right - I think I saw that expression on your face in junior high a few times! :-)
Kim
I love Kim's answer about your face. It was on your face in elementary and junior high school at different times. Pay back!
Love, Mom
Actually it's a jointly inherited face. The lower lip stuck out is a definite Cook trait, at least for my father and I. Michael didn't do it so much, but you know how these things like to skip generations. :-)
A new phase; new looks; this too shall pass! Rosalee
Lib told me about the upcoming court date. I've been praying for you guys.. for God's best for the little one and peace for your family. Blessings and strength to you all!
Great face, Tristan! :)
