The Beach

At least I can show someone's face in these photos!
His daddy is coming home in a week- woohoo!

Let me just say that Tristan normally is too scared to go in the water on his own, but for whatever reason this weekend he decided he was no longer scared and was all about running in the water and playing in the waves!  Yay!  It wasn't exactly warm in Laguna Beach so I had to stop him much sooner than he would have liked.
A photo together (the only one I could get of them in the same frame)!

I'm a little tired of not being able to show photos of the little one's face.  I have A LOT of great photos of him and him with others.  Boo to that!

To put it mildly the past week the foster stuff has been a little rough.  I can't really go into specifics, but it was definitely a week full of emotions, disappointment and questioning.  I wasn't sure what to expect from the process and even though overall I think we have it easy- it's still super stressful!  So many appointments, phone calls, and people needing to see the little one.  Today I was feeling a little overwhelmed with the time commitment.  To be honest with Tristan and the little one's schedule combined there is only one day a week we have time together to sit at home and read or play.  All of the other days we are rushing from here to there all day long.  I'm trying to work really hard on taking the moments we do have to read or play even if it's just 5 minutes.  This just means that no dishes, cleaning or cooking ever get done!  Be sure to never visit our place unless it's a day the social worker or caseworker is coming : ) or you want to clean for us- then you're welcome over!

Luckily I got a welcome break by going to the beach with Libby- although I'm not sure anyone else near us at the beach or the restaurant thought they were getting a break!  Libby and I basically just tried to talk above the noise level/craziness going on with the three kiddos.  We were actually hoping they could have their own table at the restaurant while we had some enjoyable conversation by ourselves.  Unfortunately I don't think anyone would look to kindly on a 4 year old supervising two 1.5 year olds : )
