Tristan just said to me in the sweetest voice, "Mom, can I bring these army guys to bed?" Does the word mom spoken by your child ever make anyone else misty eyed? Mom, I'm a mom who someone depends on, looks up to, loves. I don't think about the word mom often, but here I am a mom.
Isn't it adorable how kids think putting their head under the covers is hiding?
Or that no one can see their feet sticking out?
Or the mattress sticking way up in the air?
Do you know what that is that is that Tristan is eating? It's an Arby's Roast Beef Sandwich. He wanted to go to the place with the cowboy hat after his haircut, so we did. I asked if he was sure he wanted a roast beef sandwich. And he said, "Yeah mom, that's what they have here roast beef sandwiches." Well obviously Tristan why wouldn't you want a roast beef sandwich? He ate the whole thing.
It seems his food issues are slowly subsiding. He has been at least trying one bite of everything we give him. He even eats ham and cheese sandwiches now. And the other day he ate half a chicken breast so he could have what JJ calls a stick, not even a cookie. Yeah, an organic fruit/grain snack thing that most likely tastes like cardboard. So glad I could treat him to that for eating his chicken!

Great pictures. I think they learn that hide your head thing from dogs and cats. Roast beef sandwich? Way to go, Tristan. And wow, that's a definite haircut! Looks cute.
'Mom' is my favorite word, even when your son is 41! You said it so well! Way to go with the Arby's, Tristan. It's one of my favorite fast food places - when you're here again, we'll have to go! Love the new hair cute, Love, FA/FGA
