Monster Mouth
As Martha Stewart called it "guacamoldy"
Jack- o - Lantern Quesadilla anyone?
Superhero's off to trick or treat (thanks grandma barb for the costume!)
Because what he needed was more sugar.
Michael had no idea what I meant when I said I was making a Halloween dinner- I think he was a little surprised! It was super easy though and I think I picked out the only three recipes available that I knew Tristan would eat (and that were appropriate for a three year old). That was the hard work!
So last year I loved trick or treating- I think because Tristan was so excited and it was his first time. After this year I am so over it. It was hard to keep track of our little guys in the midst of all the too old for trick or treating/not in costume or in inappropriate costume kids! Then close your eyes and imagine this..... one dark foggy night, two three year olds hold hands and head through a graveyard to get some candy. Along the way a werewolf flinches/growls quietly at them and the redheaded one runs out of that graveyard and is scared of every single house after that. We spent a lot of energy convincing him that there weren't scary guys or animals at any more houses. Until that moment he hadn't realized that people were even wearing scary masks. And the poor teenager who was just putting on an act as a part of his families Halloween decorations felt so bad... he even talked in his normal voice to try to convince Tristan to go up and get some candy, to no avail. I think next year it's time to find a local church with some Halloween activities going on. Hopefully we can convince our candy monster that that's an acceptable alternative!

What great pics. Tristan is such a lucky boy to have such a creative cook for a Mom. Too bad that Tristan got scared.

Unpredictable is the word for all children - no matter their age. Every year is a new adventure. Just when you think you have them figured out - whoops - they take you somewhere else!!! That is why parenting is so much fun!
Great HaLloween food!

The other mothers have said it all, except that I'm not so sure I'd want a spider on my plate. Tristan is better at it that I would be! Michael and Tristan are lucky to have just a creative chef in the house! FA
That's some cute food Krista! Remind me of it when Mason is old enough to eat.
