The Daily Grind

Yep- you saw it here first.  That's my hubby kneading bread for me!  And below- that's our newly organized pantry.  And guess what?  That was his idea.  Crazy, what a food person I've turned him into!

Today we worked on puzzles.  I didn't take a picture of the puzzle I did with him because we only got about 6 pieces put together in 30 minutes!  I have no patience whatsoever- so it was extremely difficult for me to explain how to put the edge pieces together over and over again.  So Tristan eventually got bored of the puzzle and moved on to something more his speed- Tangrams.  He turned the rabbit into the sail of a boat with a green flag on top.  Then next to it he worked on the actual boat for awhile.   I like that he can be creative and follow a pattern at the same time!
Those are the Cootie bugs we made today.  It was really difficult for Tristan to let me do a green head and pink body- he's definitely thinks things have to be the right way.  I always have to have the girl eyes and lips too.  No way I could have something that might be for a boy!

That's currently our favorite book- along with I saw an Ant in the Parking Lot.  Pretty sure I read those two books 10 times yesterday- we are definitely entering that phase!

Cute story for the day:

Yesterday Michael was giving me a hug in the kitchen (Tristan was in the living room).  And Michael said, "I love you".  It must be the way he says it during a hug, because immediately Tristan was yelling, "Are you hugging in there?"  Then he comes running in because he always wants in on a hug- so cute!

Great pictures and narrative. Krista - you are certainly having a positive effect on Michael and his view of food prep! I didn't do so "good" in that department!
