The class is very organized and similar to preschool. They spend the first 30 minutes or so doing free play, then it's circle time with songs, introductions, and planning the activities. After that they either go to the gym and play or do snack time. Then it's time for art- fingerpainting and coloring so far. And lastly they do circle time again with songs and reading books. The gym is amazing, it was set up by an OT and it has a lot of fun toys, ball pit, slides, swings, etc.
On the first day Tristan didn't want to stay in circle time or sit in his chair for snack time. But today he did much better without me there. He sat in the circle and stayed in his chair for snacks. He's also already learned Teacher Wendy and Teacher Annie's names and that he goes to school each morning. On Tuesday's there's only two other boys in the class, today there was a boy and a girl and I think one boy was missing, we'll see tomorrow! The great part is that the school has a parent lounge with monitors showing each room with sound. I got to giggle throughout at Tristan's crying outbursts. There is also a workout room for parents so I'm looking forward to taking advantage of that.

Thanks for the post. I was going to call you, but you provided wonderful info. I'm glad he's getting used to the fact that he can survive without you there every minute.

Goodness! That's a full day...Tristan and I can compare notes when I see him again. I don't get circle time and snacks! Sounds cool!
