Bronchoscopy
So Tristan had his second bronchoscopy and it went well. We talked to the anesthesiologist before the procedure and warned him that Tristan is hard to get an IV in and he freaks out. He was planning to put the IV in first and then put him to sleep, but of course Michael and I turned out to be right. After sticking him a couple times, he ended up having to put him to sleep first and then search around a couple more times to get the IV. The doctor did tell us before hand the Tristan would have to stay overnight for observation. Luckily it was just on the Peds floor, not in the PICU. After the procedure Dr. Shapiro called and let us know that instead of having the scar tissue, like everyone thought, there was a cyst in Tristan's airway. She drained the fluid and removed the cyst and hopefully things will be better from here on out. It can reoccur, but we're praying that it doesn't. I think we were both relieved that something was wrong and could be fixed easily. I'm also hoping that's the last time I sleep in a fold out chair in a shared hospital room!!

PTL! We certainly endorse your desire to not sleep in the hospital again!

Is relief the right feeling? It's what I'm feeling right now -- hope all goes well. Thank you God, once again! I add my 'sleep' thought to Joy's also, for you.
