It's extremely hot here which is why Tristan's hair is sticking up all over in this photo. The fans just aren't cutting it. Tristan is going through another no eating phase, which is very frustrating for me. Added to that he will finally open his mouth up for a bite and then spit the whole thing out on the front of him or he will chew it up and then dig it out of his mouth with his hands. His next two teeth are coming in so I'm hoping that's why he isn't eating (that's how he reacted last time), but if not a doctor visit will be in order soon. He's getting more and more confident cruising every day. I think he'll be standing on his own in the next few weeks. We had another relaxing weekend- we visited the LA Times Book Festival and got a book signed for Tristan. It was ridiculously crowded in the kids area otherwise we would have spent more time trying to get some author signatures. I think we're going to relax at home again this weekend, woo hoo!

I remember the pediatrician would tell me, "Joy, the child is not going to starve him/herself when there is food around," when I would be frustrated about one of the kids not eating. Hang in there!!!
Think cool thoughts.
