Before I start on Thanksgiving I have to tell you that our foster son went back to live with his family a couple weeks ago.
I keep forgetting to mention it and then people are shocked when he isn't around!
We really enjoyed the family member that has taken custody of him and his brother, so we keep hope that all is well.
And with that we've decided to take a break from foster care for a long period of time.
Obviously things haven't been going how we'd hoped with adoption and now we've gotten a taste of what it's like to have only one child, with one schedule and in kindergarten.
Let's just say it's been nice : )
We'll consider foster care again, but I think it will be when Tristan is a little older and can handle it better.
And now, Thanksgiving.
We had a lot of people, somewhere in the teens.
It was fun!
And my uncle barbecued a wonderful prime rib, woo hoo!
Michael and I aren't the biggest turkey fans.
The focus was on the babies, of course.
Beautiful girl with her grandma.
Beautiful boy with his Great Aunt.
And after all that eating we gathered for the Apple Cup with friends/family!
My dad is a major Husky (i.e. season tickets).
And Michael and I are major Cougars (i.e. alumni).
My sweet sister dressed her family in Cougar colors even though they don't care either way.
I kind of wanted a picture of just the kids in their sports team clothes, but I didn't think Tristan and Mason could hold three babies at once!
It was a fun game and the Huskies worst fears came true when the terrible (2-9) Cougars won the game!
So sorry Dad : )
