My belated v-day present from school
Tristan picked out a "Cars" 5 pack with his V-Day money from G.G. Shadle. They are his new bed toys- instead of Buzz and Woody. Although we are watching Toy Story 2 while holding Buzz and Woody right this moment- so I think we will be switching between Cars and Toy Story now! Although he's not supposed to take the grate off the fridge- he does it often anyway. Usually I make him put it back but todays use of it was particularly creative, so I let him play. First it was a road, then an airplane and last, it was the things cars get lifted up on to get fixed (photos above). Most of the cars fell down while getting fixed and mommy had to kiss them to make their boo boos better. Which reminds me of something- Michael and I don't use baby words (sorry to those that do!) so it really annoys me that at preschool they teach Tristan that potty/bathroom is pee pee, poop is poopie, etc, etc. Just thought I would say that. So as I mentioned before Tristan is becoming quite the conversationalist- talking to almost every person we walk by on the street or in the store. I always wondered when he would actually comprehend 100% of what we were saying and be able to form certain sentences, questions, etc. He of course isn't there yet, but each day I see more and more improvement in his speech. Yesterday he surprised me by coming into the kitchen after wiping his own nose and asking me, "Mommy is it ok for kleenex to go in the toilet?" I guess it was just the fact that he thought to ask/that he realized it might not be ok! Although he had already put it into the toilet and flushed so he was probably hoping the answer was yes. Another gorgeous day here....76 and sunny : ) Oh and I'm going to be positive and thankful for this, but my hormones only went down to 22 last week...slow, slow, slow.

What a great use of that refrigerator piece. Now I know what to do with the one on the freezer that I kick loose on a regular basis. Keep up the stories on the language; they are just wonderful. And we'll keep up our prayers for the hormones.
Love, Grandpa Tony
Good news on the hormones. I'm glad they keep going down. Thanks for all the pictures.
Love, Mom S.
