Sorry to rub it in (ok, no I'm not) but the beach was fabulous! Tristan is now scared of the waves because one "knocked" him down. It actually just caught him off guard which made him lose his balance and sit down in the cold water. After that he was scared to go near the ocean. After the beach he went down for his nap without the pacifier. Yes, we did make it through the night without much of a problem and absolutely no problem during the nap. During the night he whimpered a few times, but never really woke up and cried or asked for it. YAY!!! I was really expecting this to be a battle with lots of nights w/o sleep, so I am in shock to say the least. Hopefully I'm not speaking too soon. While I was at work Grandpa, Dad and Tristan hit the park again. I hear that he was enthralled with a guy blowing up balloons and a birthday party that was going on. Unfortunately for Tristan Grandpa leaves tomorrow and that leads to a grandparent dry spell until May : (
