So believe it or not, Tristan is playing Wii with dad. We're getting him started early! Ok, so really he's just holding the Wii-mote while Michael plays golf. He did really enjoy shaking it like dad though!
This weekend we visited the L.A. County Fair for the first time, woo hoo. Don't tell the L.A. friends we went with but we think the Puyallup Fair is a little better! In the area of things Michael just loves, like hobby hall and big vegetables this fair was lacking big time. They had some stuff, but the Puyallup fair just has a better set up with big displays and people to talk to. This fair has a lot more exhibit halls full of stuff for sale- super shammy anyone? Plus we missed scones and the really cool bean and vegetable pictures! Oh and the pigs with the babies. The two amazing things the L.A. fair has though are Chicken Charlie's fried stuff and the Winter Wonderland. Michael had a fried pop tart- but we had the option of oreos, frog legs, twinkies, avocado, spam, etc. We hear that last year they had fried coca cola! As you can see Tristan thoroughly enjoyed the Winter Wonderland. He's seen snow falling but hadn't played in it yet. He liked throwing snowballs and a serious temper tantrum ensued after he realized that the second time down the sled run was his last because we weren't going to wait in line again. Looks like we need to take him sledding in WA sometime! Overall, an extremely hot 90+, but entertaining day.
The one piece of sad/annoying news we got today is that Tristan probably won't get his therapy for awhile. Stupid California still hasn't passed their budget so the funding for our program runs out on Sept. 10. They have been using their line of credit to pay their employees and therapists, but after the 10 they won't be able to pay anyone. It is up to the therapists if they want to continue working w/o pay with the condition that they will be retroactively paid when the state finally passes a budget. I'm pretty sure my current therapist will not continue to work under that condition! Hopefully I will talk to her about it next week- so we'll see.

my nephew is so adorable!!
I love the Wii picture. Watch out when he figures it out. It is good training for doing remote control surgeriesin the future!!!
Love, Mom and the Dad
I think the snow thing is just too cute! And the sandals -- if there is snow at Christmas, wonder if he'll think it's sandal-time!
Way cute!
