Tristan got to open some birthday presents early this weekend when we saw Grandma and Grandpa Cook and Great Aunt Rosalee. He really likes all the noises this car toy makes. He'll fit right in with Grandpa Tony when he gets older! Unfortunately we were out of town for another death in the family, but it was a blessing to see our relatives again. And thankfully we had just spent quality time with Great Aunt Jean before and after Christmas. Tristan got another RSV shot today, only two more to go! Each time his reaction gets worse, so I cannot wait for them to end. I think he has started anticipating the shot, which reminds me of trying to find IV's in the hospital and that didn't end well. His weight is up to 19lbs, woo hoo! He also threw his first temper tantrum in a store today. I think I've mentioned that in the last few weeks he has started getting very angry if you take something away from him. So I was letting him hold a chocolate bar I was going to buy, but I told him if he put it in his mouth I was taking it away (because he understands everything I say!). Of course he put it in his mouth and I took it away which led to extremely loud screaming and then crying. Oh, what I have to look forward to when he gets to the terrible two's! We're looking forward to Grandma and Grandpa Shadle flying in for his birthday this weekend. Can you believe it, he's turning one!

Happy Birthday, Tristan!
The tantrum story reminds me of when my brother was little. As soon as we would walk into a store (any store) he would throw himself on the ground and start screaming and crying like he was being tortured. Yikes! My poor mother got some really funny looks.
Hopefully Tristan does not decide that he hates shopping!
